How Թ Communicates Emergencies
Թ uses Թ Alerts to send important notifications during
weather, safety or facility emergencies. The College uses several systems to notify
the campus community during emergencies.
You may receive alerts through:
- Թ Alerts text messages and email notifications.
- Desktop messages on campus computers.
- Fire alarms with horns and flashing strobes.
- Public address announcements.
- Instructions from campus police or staff.
Always follow instructions from emergency responders and campus officials.
Թ Alerts may be used to communicate:
Students taking credit classes and Թ employees are automatically enrolled to receive
alerts by Թ email and text message. To ensure you receive notifications, review
and update your contact information regularly in Archer Connect.
Parents, community members and frequent campus visitors can also sign up to receive
alerts by creating an account with the College’s notification system.
Manage Your Alert Preferences
Students and employees can update their alert preferences by logging into Archer Connect
and selecting My Account > View/Update Թ Alerts Contact Information.
Opt Out of Text Alerts
Թ strongly encourages all users to keep emergency text alerts enabled. However,
if you choose to opt out:
- Text STOP to 51664 to unsubscribe from text alerts.
- Text RESUME to 51664 at any time to begin receiving alerts again.
